Luke O'Tool

This pastel painting was based off of a landscape I chose mountains with water in front. Looking back, I should have chose a different picture, this picture didn't have any color it was just mostly grey's and black's. I should have taken more time and put more detail into my painting. I like how I used shadows in the sky and how you can see different shades in the sky. Overall, I don't have a lot of different values and I should have added more. I also should have added texture into the mountains and made them look real. colors that I should have used and think I could have done a lot better job. I had a lot of balance between colors because its grey and easy to balance. I don't have a lot of contrast and I think I should have added more colors for more contrast.
